ES resume workshop

Hi, ES students –

            How’s it going?

A number of you have been asking me about my resume workshop.

The resume workshop is Th, 20 October, 11:45-12:45, in my ecology lab.  Bring your lunch if you’d like, but please don’t be late.  You MUST bring a copy of your completed resume to the workshop.

The workshop is very informal and deals with practical advice about resumes, cover letters, and interviews.  It’s fun and (I hope!) informative.  Everybody needs a resume.  Even tree-huggers.  No.  Wait.  Especially tree-huggers!

So please prepare your resume.  Show it to people for their comments.  Revise it.  Show it to the folks in the Career Center.  Revise it.  Bring it to the workshop.  You’ll revise it again.  And again and again and again.  Then you can take it to your academic advisor (criminy – not ME, for cryin’ out loud!  I’ve got my own advisees to worry about!) for final comments.  And revise it.

Thanks and good luck! – John
