Hi all,


While some of our ES majors become celebrities in front of the camera, others have been busy behind the camera too.


Alum Brian Kelley (2010) continues to win accolades for his environmental filmmaking.  His latest achievements include three Emmys (outstanding documentary, photography, and editing) for a collaborative project conducted at American University’s Program for Environmental Filmmaking.  The film, Menhaden: The Most Important Fish in the Bay ( has also aired on Maryland PBS and is currently screening at the Chesapeake Bay Museum.


Emily Constantian (2013) began her foray into environmental filmmaking with this short video that’s practice for a longer documentary related to her senior thesis project on one rural community’s efforts to fight food insecurity: .
