Hi students,

Interested in food justice, environmental communication, film, or just need a break? If so, consider attending Filmmaker Scott Hamilton Kennedy’s screening of his Oscar nominated documentary, The Garden, and his following Q&A.

Where: Joseph Theater.
When: April 3rd, 7:30pm

The Garden tells the complicated struggle over the fourteen-acre community garden in South Central Los Angeles, the largest of its kind in the United States. The film deals with environmental issues and the political and social implications of urban agriculture and a community’s fight against city council to keep the garden alive.
